Fitness: Some Motivation Required

Have you ever been driving and listening to the radio and heard a song that motivated the crap out of you? The lyrics spoke to you, left goosebumps on your skin, and gave you the biggest adrenaline rush? Just a few words eliciting in you a desire to drive straight home and workout? Yes? No? Maybe?

Or what about scrolling down the news feed on your Facebook page and seeing someone post an inspirational quote or meme about getting healthy and getting active? You’re sitting there at your computer, knowing full well that you’ve been about as active as a sloth that day, and you could really use some motivation. And then low and behold you read that quote or hear that song on the radio, and that’s all you needed. A tiny nudge to get you up and ready to complete your workout for the day.

This has happened to me so many times I’ve lost count, especially on the days I’m feeling a bit lazy or sluggish. But it is truly amazing what a few words can do TO you and FOR you. Sometimes we all just need that little push, that little whisper in our ear, telling us we need to just get up and go.

So if you’re having one of “those” days, you know the ones I’m talking about, here’s a few things I’ve found to give you that push you’ve been looking for.
